OUR PROGRAM

Shawn Alee McAtee’s Family Child Care Home is a home-based Child Care service registered and accredited with the Department of Human Services in Pennsylvania.

 

The program serves pre-kindergarten children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old, following the Pennsylvania Family Child Care guidelines.

Our services are provided from 6 am to 6:30 pm, Monday-Friday, some holidays, and vacation periods excluded. Our focus is on providing a program with a variety of learning and playtime activities that ensure the children in our care will develop successfully academically, intellectually, and emotionally.

Shawn Alee McAtee’s mission and overall objectives are designed to address the issue of limited, high-quality Child Care in Garfield and the surrounding communities.

  2) To create a learning environment that intentionally develops the intellectual, social, emotional, and motor skill sets needed for successful early childhood development.
  
  3) To develop long-term, complementary relationships with the parents and families of our learners.
  
  4) To provide on-going support and communications that meet the evolving and expressed needs of the community we serve.
